If Granite Could Speak is a collection of short stories all taking place in Yosemite National Park. After spending years living and working in Yosemite Valley, P.C. Parn became fascinated with the visitors who came to Yosemite to work through a personal crisis. It was this concept that lead her to writing If Granite Could Speak. If Granite Could Speak chronicles a newly divorced daughter, a set of washed up base jumpers, a recently fired heavy machinery operator, a struggling hardware store employee, and more, as they struggle to find themselves, and a parking spot, in Yosemite National Park.
